By definition, Urbanization is the process of people moving from rural areas to cities with the subsequent transformation of originally natural land into land for residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation purposes. As cities expand to accommodate the needs of the growing population, the original natural habitats are destroyed and fragmented (known as habitat fragmentation). If not sustainability undergone, this causes a variety of issues such as biodiversity lose, human-wildlife conflicts, roadkill incidents, and the creation of ecological traps which threaten the wellbeing of wildlife animals.
